An enlightening, introspective activity that middle school students would enjoy is writing a letter to their future selves. They can pen down their current interests, ambitions, fears, and hopes for the future. It promotes reflection, introspection, and encourages the use of descriptive and expressive language.

Encouraging students to be active readers instead of passive participants will make comprehension less daunting and more enjoyable. Ideally, the goal is to make them independent, sophisticated readers who can deal with any text and extract information accurately.

A weekly review is another constructive practice. Evaluating the study plan's effectiveness weekly aids in understanding what techniques work best and what modifications are required. Perhaps there is a need to allocate more time to a difficult subject or adjust the break periods. This review gives an opportunity to revise the plan according to changing needs.

This observational study underscores the need for a systemic approach to managing homework and extracurricular activities. Prioritizing tasks, planning, time management, living healthy, being adaptable, having a dedicated study place, utilizing online resources, forming study groups, and indulging in self-care activities are remarkable strategies employed by successful students. Adopting these strategies will equip students with the necessary skills to strike a balance between their academic pursuits and extracurricular interests, enabling them to thrive in their academic journeys.

The school initiated its online learning program by transitioning their usual reading curriculum to the online platform, ‘Little Reader.’ The platform was selected based on its interactive nature, scope for individualized learning and accessibility by parents as well. It provided an e-library with a range of age-appropriate books, along with various interactive and learning activities to enhance reading skills.

The internet is a trove of educational resources catering to a wide array of subjects. Students believed that harnessing these and collaborating with peers significantly eased their academic burden while maximizing learning.

Given these advancements in brain-boosting study skills, it is clear that we are transcending the traditional paradigms of learning and embracing more dynamic, flexible, and learner-centered approaches.
