Mike-Tyson-quotes-7.jpgMike Tyson is one guy you don’t want to mess with, and back when he was boxing he seemed almost invincible. Recently, Tyson told the world that his invincible days may be coming to an end for him – really soon.

Tyson retired from fighting in 2005, but has returned to the spotlight through acting. After appearing in pieces such as "The Hangover," "Entourage" and his one-man show on Broadway, "mike tyson the life and times of iron mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth," Tyson explained his fighting background has helped his new ventures. "I’m used to being under pressure," Tyson said. "I’m pretty composed. I believe that gave me an edge."

As with many Adult Swim series, it operates on a certain amount of stoner logic, and uses its abbreviated runtime to its advantage; by the time you realize how ridiculous any episode might be, it's already over. Despite his distinctive, oft-parodied voice, Tyson is not much of a voice actor, but his flat, slightly befuddled line delivery adds to the charm of it all. The fight was originally scheduled for July 20, but postponed because of a recent ulcer flare-up for the 57-year-old Tyson. According to a representative, Tyson became dizzy and nauseated while flying from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26. Paramedics boarded the plane upon landing to assist him. Doctors subsequently advised Tyson to do minimal to no training in the coming weeks, upsetting the original timeline for the fight.

Amateur Success and the Road to Professional Boxing: Tyson's entry into the boxing world was meteoric. His natural talent and intense training led to a string of victories in the amateur circuit. By 13, he had already claimed multiple titles, signaling the rise of a new powerhouse in the sport.

Within a few years, it was gone, and he declared bankruptcy, mainly due to his many addictions and reckless spending. He had hit rock-bottom, sifting his way through a mountain of debt, when, seemingly out of nowhere, he started an acting career and the comeback began.

So I decided, "Fuck it." My friends were shocked. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I threw some wild punches and one connected and Gary went down. Wise would skip while he was shadowboxing, so after I dropped Gary, my stupid ass started skipping. It just seemed like the fly thing to do. I had practically the whole block watching my gloryful moment. Everybody started whooping and applauding me. It was an incredible feeling even though my heart was beating out of my chest.
