They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle various flooring. Look for models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging dock to self-empty and clean stairs.

A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, create schedules and select cleaning options.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

When I tested the S1, it was able to map our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without any problems. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rugs.

The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.

This robot vacuums with mop combination is simple to install and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a number of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to effortlessly remove dust and debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung up on the small rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual border within the app). Its mopping is quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as needed. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station as needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of mops and robot vacuums best vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction it is a useful feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large space between obstacles. This can lead to miss-hit spots.

The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting, and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable internet connection to access the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are great at picking up dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach every speck of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot cleaner that vacuums and mop, is designed to do just that. It's simple to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your daily cleaning routine.

The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it does not have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.

Even though it's not able to wipe your floors, the Q5 has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also features a smart application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to clean up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home, which will allow it to enter corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. This device also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the expenses associated with using the device. This robot cleaner can detect carpets, and boost suction if needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas that you want it to stay clear of this is a useful feature.
